Summer is coming and so are the landscaping duties. Grass cutting, bush trimming and in the fall, leaf raking. What do you do with your yard waste? If you have been looking for a sustainable way to dispose of it, look no further.

Hageman's Earth Cycle accepts all different kinds of yard waste and organic materials.

I am into sustainability and the green movement not because I'm worried about global warming or because it's fashionable, but because I feel that we are so lucky to be on the Earth that we should take any chance we can to show our respect.

We are very lucky to have the Larimer County Landfill . It is a 'Sanitary Landfill' and has a very solid commitment to minimizing our impact on our home(our home being Northern Colorado). If you've been there, you know that is a very advanced waste disposal facility with opportunities to recycle all different types of substances and electronic products.

But the landfill is a place of finality. It is where things go and they stay there forever. When we have to dispose of something that can be used in some other way, we should make sure that happens. So instead of a truckload of leaves in the fall going into the landfill, you can take it to Hageman's for about the same price and it won't go to it's final place. It will beautify someone else's space instead. Sounds like a better place to me.
