Sweet and sour are opposites for a reason, but the two flavors are coming together in Northern Colorado's newest beer.

Greeley's WeldWerks Brewing Co. is joining forces with Denver-favorite Little Man Ice Cream to create a tasty new brew called the Little Man Space Junkie Sour.

According to a press release from Indie Creative Co., the beer is a sour ale brewed with the components of Little Man's Space Junkie ice cream: brownies, vanilla, milk sugar, marshmallows, and black raspberry purée.

"Space Junkie is one of my favorite flavors from Little Man Ice Cream and as a brewer, what better way to honor your favorite ice cream than to turn it into a beer?" said Skip Schwartz, the Head Brewer at WeldWerks, in the release. "With the black raspberry melding perfectly with the marshmallows and brownies, I felt the flavor combination would be a unique pastry sour that will close out the last bit of summer."

This isn't the first time that WeldWerks has teamed up with Little Man Ice Cream.

Last year, the companies collaborated on the Little Man Salted Oreo Stout, a smooth mixture of Oreos, salt, vanilla, and — of course — ice cream.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
