Ways You Can Help Those Affected By The Cameron Peak Fire
Looking to help those impacted by the Cameron Peak Fire? You're definitely not alone.
The City of Loveland, The Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and other City agencies have received substantial amounts of clothing, food, and other donations for those affected by the Cameron Peak Fire.
However, the amount of donations received has become far too large for the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and other agencies to handle on their own.
As a result, residents are being encouraged to find ways to help those affected by the fire which will not take the fire agency and City employees away from their emergency-response work.
As such, the City has suggested multiple ways for the community to help those affected by the fire in a recent press release, including:
- Donating canned or boxed foods: Donations can be taken to the Food Bank for Larimer County. For more information, visit foodbanklarimer.org.
- Contributing to the Cameron Peak Fire Response Fund: Established by The United Way of Larimer County, the fund offers the most versatile, flexible and efficient way for aid to reach those who need it most. For more information, visit the United Way of Larimer County website.
- Donating to the Red Cross: The Red Cross is providing temporary housing for those affected by the Cameron Peak Fire. To donate, visit the Red Cross website.
Several people in the community have inquired about volunteering to aid the firefighting effort; however, the Cameron Peak Fire response team is not seeking volunteer firefighters at this time.
