If your commute through Fort Collins and Windsor was unusually bad this morning, it's because of I-25.

You may be like me and my co-workers who seemed to hit congestion in usual places this morning, like Mulberry, Carpenter and even north on 257 in Windsor. The reason was that northbound traffic was being diverted from I-25, due to an early morning rollover crash in the construction zone on I-25 at the HWY 392 (Carpenter) exit.

That construction zone is a difficult area, especially if you need to merge onto northbound I-25 to get from Windsor to Fort Collins. Denver7 Traffic's Jayson Luber tweeted about the wreck just before 7 a.m. on Friday, which appears to be right where the onramp is.

At 7:11 a.m., Luber reported that northbound I-25 closed at HWY 392, causing drivers to take side roads. The accident appeared to involve a cement truck and at least two other passenger vehicles.

By 8:40 a.m., Luber tweeted that the interstate was still closed, but likely to reopen soon.

Colorado State Patrol also notified drivers of the accident and closure, but did not provide any information on those involved, including injuries.
