UPDATE: Cameron Peak Fire Reaches 16,602 Acres, Zero Containment
The bad new is that the Cameron Peak Fire is still zero percent contained. The good news is that it has only grown about 150 acres since Thursday, according to the Incident Information System.
The fire has reached 16,602 acres as of Friday at 11 a.m. with over 550 people working to extinguish the flames.
Colorado is now on a complete fire ban and Larimer County is under an air quality advisory.
Rocky Mountain National Park has issued a fire ban of its own along with many trail closures as the Cameron Peak Fire burns just four miles away.
