Two Colorado Cities Make Top 15 Most Romantic List for Winter Travel
If you and your significant other are looking to get away together this winter, you're in luck, because one of the top 15 most romantic destinations in the country is basically right in our own backyard.
The travel website, TripAdvisor, came up with an algorithm to determine cities with the highest percentage of reviews mentioning romance. From there, they compiled a list of these locations, and delved deeper into why they are so wooing.
It could be the cozy cabins with patio hot tubs that are perfect for star gazing, the picturesque scenery, or possibly the charming downtown lined with delectable chocolate shops that make Estes Park such a romantic place for couples to enjoy – but whatever it is, or maybe all these things combined, earned this Northern Colorado town a spot on the list.
TripAdvisor had this to say about those wanting to take a romantic trip to Estes Park:
Here, you don’t have to stray far from the center to find a romantic spot. Just off Elkhorn Avenue, you’ll find the Estes Park’ Riverwalk, a lovely spot complete with shady nooks, benches, and outdoor sculptures. Take off into the Rocky Mountain National Park for snowshoeing or skiing surrounded by stellar views. Finish up back in town with a Swedish massage and a spa soak for two.
Denver is another Colorado city that ranked high on the nation's most romantic list for winter travel, as well as others around the U.S., including Key West, Florida, Newport, Rhode Island, and Scottsdale, Arizona. Click here to view the entire top 15.
