A few weeks ago, digital contributor Shelby wrote a list of 5 Unique Summer Date Ideas. Maybe you need a second date idea. If you require some more romantic spots, look no further. Here are a few more ideas to spice up date night in Fort Collins.

Grab a Drink at Locust Cider

While there are tons of places around town to grab a drink, there is nothing like a refreshing cider on a hot summer day—especially a cider with a view. If you haven't been to Locust Cider on the corner of Walnut and College, I recommend checking it out.

While the company itself started in Washington, they now call Colorado their home. They make a variety of different ciders, from a Mojito Cider to a Thyme Cider. For those of us who might need a mix-up from the breweries and the great craft beer Fort Collins has to offer, check out Locust Cider. They are also a great alternative to beer for people who have gluten allergies!

Paddle Board at Horsetooth

In Shelby's article, she mentioned going to a picnic at one of the many places to stop around Horsetooth, but what if you want to get in the water? Paddleboarding has exploded in the past few years in Colorado, and especially in Fort Collins.

Paddleboarding is great because it is fairly easy to do, and you can get out on the water almost immediately. It doesn't matter if you are out on the water every day or your first time. Fort Collins has tons of places around town to rent or buy from, so you can get out on the water with your significant other. Enjoy the day at Horsetooth while the weather is nice, and explore the endless shoreline and the amazing views while you can!

Welsh Rabbit

The Welsh Rabbit is a great place for a romantic date in Old Town. The bistro is perfect for an intimate date. They offer cheese platters, small plates, and wine/beer tasting in an old-world-themed storefront. While it is on the pricier side, if you go between 2 p.m.-5 p.m. on the weekdays, the happy hour is hard to beat!

Ax Throwing

If you are looking for something a little more adventurous and unique, look no further. Ax throwing was all the rage a few years ago, but the hype has somewhat died down since the pandemic. With that being said, it is still a great and affordable date idea for you and your significant other. The Axe and Ale is a great spot for a unique and fun date!
