Each week, Townsquare Media, sponsored by FNBO, will be highlighting a Northern Colorado high school athlete as part of Townsquare Media’s High School MVP program. Each of these athletes has had an outstanding presence on the court or field and has been submitted or selected as our MVP of the week.

For this week's Townsquare Media's High School MVP, we head over to the football field for the Roosevelt Roughriders as junior wide receiver Tucker Peterson helped lead Roosevelt to a 62-19 win over Northridge on Friday, Oct. 15.

Peterson has played on varsity for his entire three years at Roosevelt. In that time, he has garnered a total of 589 receiving yards and averages 21 yards per reception.

He's docked 10 receiving touchdowns out of 12 total career touchdowns.

In Roosevelt's game against Northridge, Peterson logged four receptions for 119 yards, which averages out to 29.8 yards per reception. He also logged 13 yards in a single carry for the game.

Defensively, Peterson performed on the other side of the ball as well. He docked five total tackles in the game, three of which were solo tackles. In addition, he also notched one fumble reception.

Peterson has been a key player for Roosevelt's 7-0 undefeated run thus far this season. We sat down with Tucker to talk about the team's explosive start and what his future holds!
