Visitors and locals alike love spending time in charming Old Town, Fort Collins. From unique stores and restaurants, to gallery and foodie walks, the area is always abuzz with activities. And aside from what can be seen from just driving up and down College Avenue, there's much more that Old Town has to offer, you just have to look between the cracks to find it...literally.

In between many of the buildings, alleyways have been transformed into architecturally pleasing areas, inspiring people to take advantage and enjoy the spaces. As a way to bring these out-of-sight walkways to life, the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association will be showcasing them with their Downtown Hidden Spaces Series.

The family-friendly series kicks off on May 31, in the West Mountain alley, with the Neighborhood Block Party. From 5-8 p.m. there will be art, entertainment, food and drinks, with the alley's bright artwork and vibrant plants serving as a backdrop. Local favorite, the Wendy Woo Band, will be performing live. Other entertainment includes a live break dancing performance, face painting and pop-up art courtesy of Pinot's Palette Sip & Paint Studio, interactive yard games, live chalk art installations, live oyster shucking, and so much more! A mobile ice cream truck, The Waffle Lab, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and The Regional will all be serving up delicious treats.

The second event, known as the Merchant Market, takes place in the Old Firehouse alley from noon to 5 p.m. on June 15. The final event of the series is the Alley Rally on September 20. This one is also taking place in the Old Firehouse alley, but hours have yet to be announced. These alley celebrations are all completely free for the public to attend.
