CDOT and Colorado State Patrol will begin to ramp up their DUI enforcement for the Thanksgiving holiday starting today (November 17th) in efforts to curb drinking and driving.

The ongoing "Heat is On" campaign is aimed at Colorado DUI and DWAI laws in hopes to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on the roadways caused by impaired drivers. In 2016, 101 law enforcement agencies arrested 522 impaired drivers during the same enforcement period.
