Super Hunter’s Moon Over Northern Colorado October 2016 [PICTURES]
The first full moon following September’s Harvest Moon is known as the “Hunter’s Moon” or "Blood Moon."
We have a Hunter's Moon every year, but what makes this Hunter's Moon more special, is that it is also a "super moon." That is a full moon that is closest to the earth. This year we have a Super Hunter's Moon.
My wife and I headed east Sunday evening to our cousin's farm, northeast of Ault, CO in search of the Super Hunter's Moon. We wanted to catch the glowing orb as it rose into the sky at exactly 7:06 pm. Thanks to Jenny for these beautiful photos.
