Strawberry Moon Tonight and Saturn Close By in Northern Colorado
Might be worth staying up late tonight to catch what ancient peoples long referred to as the Strawberry Moon. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac at 12:53 am on June 28th, 2018 (just after midnight June 27th), the full moon will be it's brightest, a signal that it's a good time to pick summer strawberries. I love these kinds of terms that referenced order, before technology.
Also according to 9News.com "Saturn is at "opposition," meaning the planet and the sun are on opposite sides of the Earth, according to NASA. That also means the ringed planet is as close to the Earth as it gets all year long." Professionals say you'll need a telescope to see it's rings, but the Saturn will be visible to the "naked eye" all night long.
