The enduring rock band Styx will be coming to Colorado making three stops in the state across four days. One of those Colorado stops will be in Loveland.

The five-member band, including longtime members Tommy Shaw, James "JY" Young, and Chuck Panozzo, will be bringing that classic sound and the songs you love. This will be a Thursday night you won't soon forget.

You have to believe that the band really enjoys the road and seeing the fans, to still be at it after 50 years. Sure, Dennis DeYoung isn't with the band anymore, but the current lineup of members, with Lawrence Gowan in DeYoung's place, sound terrific.

From 1977-1981 Styx released four back-to-back multi-platinum albums, that many will recall:

  • 1977 - 'The Grand Illusion'
  • 1978 - 'Cornerstone'
  • 1979 - 'Pieces of Eight'
  • 1981 - 'Paradise Theater'

When you take a look at that list, you get swept back to when they came out and how Styx dominated the airwaves. So many top 10 hits from just those four albums. If you grew up in the '70's and '80's, your youth was filled with many songs by Styx, which still hold up to this day.

  • 'Renegade'
  • 'Come Sail Away'
  • 'Too Much Time on My Hands'
  • 'Babe' the band's only Billboard Hot 100 #1 single
  • 'Mr. Roboto'
  • 'The Best of Times'
  • 'Show Me the Way'

Another list that takes you back. Fans will be eager to hear these and all the other great songs that Styx has put out across five decades.
