UPDATE:

A suspect, 48-year old Johnny Torres, of Casper, Wyoming has been taken into custody for allegedly firing the gun that shot a man in a Windsor, Colorado motel parking lot. According to a press release, Torres is being charged with Assault, Class 3 felony; menacing, possession of weapons by a previous offender and reckless endangerment. 

Charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.

A early morning shooting (July 7) at the American Inn at 7645 Westgate Dr. in Windsor has residents on edge.

The sleepy town of Windsor was woken up by sirens from the Windsor Police Department Tuesday morning after report came in of a person shot at the American Inn motel on Westgate Drive near Arbys.

Commander Ziggler of the Windsor P.D. said this:

At 5:50 this morning we had a report of a shooting. A male was (found) in the parking lot, he had been shot... Non-life  threatening injuries. Right now we're real early on in our investigation with no one in custody.

Commander Ziggler said that at this time they were not ready to release a suspect description or vehicle information.
