Thought it’s not entirely uncommon to see an uptick in cases, with kids going back to school, officials are at least a little concerned about a respiratory virus that has been sending kids in Denver to the emergency room.

Over the last week, five kids were taken to Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver, having severe trouble breathing. This latest virus which they believe in some of the cases was kicked off by the human enterovirus-68, has been effecting children along the Midwest (with cases up 50% over last year), and looks like it may be creeping westward into Colorado.

Doctors and officials, though not overly concerned, are recommending that if your child should develop trouble breathing- to take them to the emergency room right away.
