Rock Bottom Now Serving ‘Dave’s RETRO’ IPA

Being a frequenter of Loveland's Rock Bottom Brewery and Restaurant, I had the opportunity to help create a beer there. Behold our creation: Dave's RETRO.

I've been talking to the Head Brewer at Rock Bottom, Mitch, for some time about coming in to help make a beer. In early January of 2020, we finally got around to it.

I told Mitch I'd like to incorporate our station's name into it somehow: RETRO 102.5. He suggested using 'throwback'/retro hops; hops that were prevalent when IPAs were first starting to make their mark on the craft beer scene.

To be honest, my part in the 'making' of the beer pretty much only involved the adding of the hops that were used. They smelled AWESOME. I did, however, have a lot of fun and learned a lot that day.

On Saturday, January 18, 2020, 'Dave's RETRO' IPA began being poured; it should be on tap for a few weeks. Try it out, I think you'll like it.
