Republican Ben Higgins Officially Running for Office in Colorado

Colorado now has its very own reality star-turned-Republican politician.

Ben Higgins, star of ABC's The Bachelor season 20 is running as a Republican in House District 4, the Associated Press confirmed.

"I am definitely not a politician, but I have a lot to offer through my years in the financial service industry and, more importantly, my work in charitable and humanitarian organizations," the 28-year-old told the Denver Post.

Higgins and his fiancee, Lauren Bushnell, who he proposed to on the show, are also currently filming a reality show called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, which will air on Freeform this fall.
