Were you trying to stay cool this past weekend? Well you had good reason. This past weekend was a record breaker.

Not only once, but twice according to The Coloradoan and the Fort Collins Weather Station at CSU. Sunday's high of 96 and Monday's high of 99 both broke previous high temperature records for their respective days.

Not only that Mondays high of 99 was the highest temperature ever recorded in the month of September.

We are sitting at about 13 degrees above average for this time of the year.  It has never been this warm, this late in the year before.

Although it looks like Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low 90's, it looks like we will finally cool off slightly after that.

It wont be two long before ski season is on January through March.
