A little trial and error in the kitchen and a lot of googling, looks like we have a winner...

EASY OVEN FRIED CHICKEN WINGS FOR THE BIG GAME

  • 2-3 pounds of chicken wing sections, thawed (this will produce about 9-27 hot wing pieces, if you want more double accordingly and use two separate baking sheets, remember to double and divide the butter)
  • 5 Tbs of butter, plus a 1/2 cup of melted butter for coating
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 Tbs Seasoned Salt
  • 1/2 Tbs ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbs garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbs cayenne pepper (a bit more if you're brave and like spicy)
  • 1 cup Franks RedHot

Preheat the oven to 425 and place the baking sheet with the butter on it in the oven.Put the flour, cornstarch, and spices/seasoning's in a large storage bag... shake till well blended then add the chicken pieces. When the butter is melted remove and place the chicken wings so that they are not sitting atop of each other.

In a large bowl add the Frank's RedHot and 1/2 cup of melted butter.

After about 10 minutes turn the chicken wings over and cook for another 10-12 minutes or until an instant read thermometer reads 155, when you remove them from the oven place them directly into the large bowl with the hot sauce and butter and toss till coated thoroughly, if you want to add a touch more spice, sprinkle them with red pepper flakes.

If you like your wings naked, skip the flour and cornstarch and just toss the wing's in the spices/seasoning's and follow the other steps of the recipe as written above.

Go Team and Happy Eating!!!
