Back-to-school time is rapidly approaching across Northern Colorado, and there's a buzz of activity at area school supply stores as families stock up on notebooks and crayons. 'Realities for Children' is asking for your help in ensuring local abused children have what they need to start the year off right.

'Realities' is asking for you to donate brand-new backpacks and school supplies for over 300 abused, neglected and at-risk children during the month of August. The supplies will be provided to youth from ages 5-17 years of age. Items needed include: backpacks, rulers, loose leaf paper and notebooks (wide and college ruled), crayons, colored pencils, erasers, rulers, scientific calculators, folders, protractors and glue.

Supply and monetary donations can be brought to the 'Realities for Children' office at 1610 South College Avenue in Fort Collins (80525) Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm, or mailed by August 10th. For more information call 'Realities for Children' at 970-484-9090, or email
