Life on the water is a Northern Colorado summertime staple, so with so many people at some of the most popular swimming and boating spots, help is definitely going to be needed.

Larimer County's Natural Resources Department is looking for volunteers to assist rangers on boat ramps, swim beaches, and other areas at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake this summer through Labor Day weekend. Volunteers would work shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., They must be at least 16 years of age, courteous, possess no fear of water, be able to get on and off boats, and learn how to operate a handheld radio.

Training will be available to volunteers.

If you want more information about the position, or would like to sign up as a volunteer, contact Outreach Specialist Cameron Rhea at 970-619-4559 or crhea@larimer.org.
