Detectives with the Commerce City Police Department have located and released a photo of a man who has been identified as a person of interest in a new double homicide investigation, and officials are now seeking the public's help in identifying him.

According to an original news release from the Commerce City Police Department regarding the mentioned investigation, Commerce City Police responded to a parking lot in the 4800 block of East 62nd Ave on a report of shots fired on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at approximately 9 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered two males with visible gunshot wounds.

As per the news release, one male was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the second male was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

On the night of Oct. 27, the investigation was considered ongoing and no further information was released at that time.

UPDATE: Investigation Turns Into A Double Homicide

On Wednesday evening (Nov. 3), a week after the Oct. 27 shooting incident, Commerce City Police shared that the second victim from the shooting had succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced dead.

Detectives have now located a photo of a male who they have identified as a person of interest in this shooting-turned-double homicide investigation.

As per the Nov. 3 update from Commerce City Police, the above photograph was associated with the social media name “Ace Cozart" (Facebook profile pictured above).  This person of interest may also reportedly be driving a blue or black colored truck.
