Park Theater Mall in Estes Park had a Fire Scare Over the Weekend
Estes Park's Park Theater was built in 1913. It's the oldest single house movie theater in America; a Northern Colorado gem. You hear of a fire, you get worried.
The Historic Park Theater and Cafe [Park Theater Mall] in Estes Park has seen its share of history, since opening in 1913. Including a huge fire in 2009 that cause severe damage to the property.
According to the Estes Park Trail-Gazette, on Sunday, June 2, 2019, they had a bit of fire scare. At about 6:30 p.m, the Estes Valley Fire Protection District called out to a extinguish a small fire that had encompassed a window frame. Two fire engines and a ladder truck from EVFPD were on hand and got the fire put out in about an hour.
No real damage was reported, as they continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
