It’s funny to look back at how some folks thought it was just never going to happen: A new stadium for CSU, on-campus. Well, here we are at the start of 2017, and it’s hard to miss the construction going on for it, while season tickets for the upcoming season just went on sale.

There’s going to be an open house regarding the new stadium on Wednesday, February 1, 2017,at the Drake Center from 6 pm to 8 pm. Two hours to get informed about parking (where do we all park when going to the game?), about tailgating (is it still allowed, where will it be, how much will it cost?) and about traffic (how will the city deal with all the additional cars coming to the area of College and Prospect for each home game?)

The one thing they probably won’t be discussing is the name. What ARE they going to call it!  Sure, the field definitely has name: ‘Sonny Lubick Field’, but it seems they are still trying to get naming rights for the full stadium figured out. By the time kickoff comes on September 9, 2017, I’m sure that the stadium will have a name.
