One Man Dead After Camper Fire Near Wellington
A man is dead following a fire in a camper trailer north of Wellington early Thursday (Mar. 4).
According to an official press release from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, deputies and the Wellington Fire Protection District responded to a report of a camper trailer on fire in the 100 block of West County Road 78 in Wellington on Thursday morning.
The body of the deceased man was recovered from the camper trailer.
The initial investigation conducted by Larimer County Sheriff's Office investigators and investigators from the Wellington Fire Protection District indicates that the fire was accidental in nature; no foul play is suspected at this time.
The release stated the Larimer County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity as well as cause and manner of death at a later date.

On Wednesday morning (Mar. 3), the Larimer Country Sheriff's Office was notified of a disturbance in progress at the Clarion Inn on East Mulberry Street in Fort Collins.
According to a media release from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, witnesses on scene watched a male individual physically attack a woman in the lobby area of the hotel. During the attack, several individuals came to the aid of the woman at different stages of the attack.
The male attacker was eventually subdued by the individuals who came to the woman’s rescue.
The 43-year-old male was then taken into custody, and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will release his identity as well as cause and manner of death at a later date.
