Northern Colorado 2017 Holiday Parade and Celebration Calendar
The chill of fall in the air has made us think about apple pies, wearing sweaters, and getting ready for the season ahead. It also means the holiday season is around the corner!
Whether you are excited for the season approaching us as quick as it is, or you wish time would stop for a quick minute, you'll probably have one of the many great holiday parades or celebrations on your schedule to attend in 2017.
There are multiple opportunities for you to pack the family in the car to see Santa and the great lighted displays that the parade has to offer. Here are the ones that we think are a "must see" in Northern Colorado, and when they are happening so you can get your schedule put together!
One of the most special moments of the year is when the city of Fort Collins turns on their downtown holiday lights for the first time of the season. This year marks the 29th annual holiday parade in the town of Estes Park. As many as 20,000 people attend the parade, so make sure you get an early seat to the enjoyment that the parade brings! There are marching bands, fire trucks, and many more locally based floats that take part in the parade.
One of the best parades in all of Colorado is the city of Greeley's Lights the Night parade! It happens on November 25th and goes through downtown Greeley. There are over fifty lighted floats that make their way through the parade.
The 2017 Festival of Lights in the city of Loveland will be occurring on November 29th. The entire family will love it with a countdown to Santa's arrival, free carriage rides, and the tree decorating competition. The event runs from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The tree lighting will occur at 6:00 pm.
