After this past Sunday's disappointing game against Indianapolis, it looks like a neck injury will keep Denver's starting QB on the sidelines.

After losing to the Colts on Sunday, Denver's record is now 2-6.  This coming Sunday they'll take on the Cleveland Browns whose record is 2-5.  Though the two teams seem pretty evenly matched, Denver won't be starting Flacco.

Denver 7 has the story on how Denver announced on Monday (Oct 28, 2019) that due to a herniated disc in Flacco's neck, #2 QB Brandon Allen will start against Cleveland, and that Flacco could be out for several weeks.

Backing up Allen will be Brett Rypien, because he's been working out with the practice squad since mini-camp. Drew Lock is still on the injured reserve list; for now.

There's talk that the Broncos may cut Flacco which would eliminate $20M in salary.
