New Belgium to Host Party Deck at CSU’s New Stadium

It wouldn't be a new stadium without New Belgium, now would it?

The Coloradoan announced today that New Belgium has teamed up with Colorado State University to host its party deck at the north end zone of the new $220 million stadium opening in 2017. The brewery is donating $4.3 million for naming rights to the area originally referred to as the "Pitkin Porch."

This is New Belgium's largest sponsorship to date.

CSU had initially scrapped their plans for a bar to stay on budget, but with New Belgium's help, a bar, seating area, and other add-ons can be reconsidered. The Coloradoan also notes that the addition of the porch will not slow down the stadium's construction progress.

Sponsorship naming rights for the stadium itself is still available, though an anonymous donor gave $20 last fall to name the stadium after former coach Sonny Lubick.

The new stadium is expected to be completed by June 2017, just in time for its first scheduled game against Abilene Christian on September 9, 2017.
