Are we ready for this?

After Odell Brewing Company announced that they were getting into the wine-making game, it was only a matter of time before other breweries followed suit. That includes New Belgium Brewing Company, who announced last week a new kind of beer...one that is wine-forward. Hmm.

It's called Colorway, and it looks pretty exciting.

New Belgium says that Colorway is a "wine-forward sour ale foeder fermended on whole cluster red Zinfandel grapes from @nyborgwine_co [Nyborg Wine Company] using our house sour culture".

It sounds like a wine/beer hybrid that both me— and your mom, probably— will be psyched to try. The sour premiered last weekend but if you missed it, don't worry— it'll show up at Great American Beer Fest this year as well.
