Even after having the procedure fixing my vision back in February, the reflex of looking for my glasses every morning is still there. When I wake up, I reach over to the nightstand looking for my glasses, with nothing there. Then, I come to the realization that I have every morning since early February... that I don't wear glasses any more. This is still something I'm getting used to, since I was wearing glasses and contacts since I was ten years old.

I, like everyone, had heard about LASIK for years, and it never really occurred to me to look into it. I was actually told several years ago by my eye doctor, that I was not a candidate because my eyes were too dry and too bad. It never occurred to me that technology would advance to a point where the dryness of my eye, or my prescription would allow me to get the procedure done. In all honesty, I was probably dragging my feet since the whole idea of the procedure really didn't sit well with me.

That was until I was introduced to the folks at the Eye Center of Northern Colorado. After years of procrastinating, I had the opportunity to sit down with the team at the Eye Center and they walked me thought the enter procedure and let me know what I could expect.

After getting the procedure done, saying that is was life-changing, would not be an understatement. I was in the Eye Center for about an hour the day of the procedure, the procedure only took about ten minutes and it was relatively painless. The best part, was that I was seeing better than 20/20 the very next day.
