A mountain lion was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon, after having attacked a person along with a Larimer County Sheriff's Office Deputy.

There aren't many details this afternoon, as Fox 31 in Denver is reporting about the incident that took place just west of Devil's Backbone, near Riverview RV Park, on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office along with the Division of Wildlife responded to the scene of a mountain lion having attacked a person (male or female is not in the report.)

It seems the mountain lion also attacked a deputy, at which point the animal was shot and killed.

According to Fox 31, the deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the status of the person attacked is unknown.
