Major Balloon Fest in NoCo This Weekend

You may have already seen this!  The first launches were at 6:15 this morning from downtown Erie.  It'll happen again same time tomorrow (Saturday,) and Sunday!

(Sorry I'm not at all excited about this.)

At 7:30pm these three nights, there'll be (weather permitting, I'm sure) the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow at Coal Creek Park.

The hot air balloons are only a part of the "22nd annual Erie Town Fair & Balloon Festival."  Here's the whole package:

• The Garage Rats Car Show from 9a-3p.
• Kids' stuff like inflatables, face painting, pedal cars, and Tumble Bubbles (which are those giant, clear balls kids get inside and float around on.  My girls love them.)
• Beer garden.
• Fireworks planned for 9:15p.  (I'm assuming the balloons will all be down by then;)
• Live music from Denver band Chase N the Dream.

Taking a balloon ride is on my list of to-do's.  Better yet might be to own one - seriously!
