Loveland’s Second Annual ‘Festival of Lights’ Brings Holiday Fun to Downtown
The tree is ready, the lights are being strung up. Wednesday night, November 29th Downtown Loveland flips the switch to turn on the holidays!
Only into its second year, Loveland’s Festival of Lights is quickly becoming a must-do event for the holidays! It’s held the Wednesday after Thanksgiving each year in Downtown, bringing hometown fun and community involvement to Loveland!
Come out Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. for this year’s festivities- including the lighting of the 24-foot Christmas tree that stands in front of the Rialto Theater!
Activities will include:
5 p.m. at the Loveland Museum/Gallery- The Loveland Choral Society will sing a variety of songs of the holidays, and a barbershop quartet will lead a caroling parade to Rialto Square and the main activities on 4th Street, in anticipation of the tree lighting. Be one of the first 500 attendees at the museum/gallery to get a glow-candle and glow in the dark face painting!
6 p.m. at Rialto Square and along 4th Street- The Festival of Lights - Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive as the countdown for the tree lighting approaches! Throughout the event, there’ll be hot chocolate, s’mores, horse-drawn carriage rides, princesses, breweries/wineries, live music and MORE!
The Festival of Lights will also be collecting needed items/donations during the event to benefit the 137 Homeless Connection program with the House of Neighborly Service.
