Loveland Swim Beach Set to Close Early for the Season on Aug 2

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Loveland Swim Beach at Lake Loveland opened later than usual. Because of the hot weather, it will have to closer earlier, too.

The City of Loveland announced on Friday, July 31, 2020, that the upcoming weekend would be the last weekend that the swim beach at Lake Loveland would be open.

The water that's in the lake provides irrigation water for hundreds of farming needs in the Greeley-Loveland area, and with the weeks of hot weather that we've had, more of that lake water has been needed; hence the early closing this year.

It will close down officially, at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
