Loveland Restaurant Bids Adieu Due to Pandemic
Fine dining has taken a hit in Loveland due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Slate has announced they won't be reopening.
I only had the opportunity to sit down once for a meal at Slate Italian Eatery on Cleveland just south of Sixth Street in Downtown. It was for a birthday celebration; I enjoyed it. Many others did, but according to the Reporter-Herald, they've closed.
According to the article, the owner of Slate, also owns The Pourhouse and had to borrow over $50,000 to keep that pub afloat.
It's too bad that Slate couldn't hold on.
