Just about every town in Colorado has at least one summer festival, whether it be about the town's founding, about the 4th of July, or just about enjoying summer. A summer festival in Loveland that's been happening since 2007, will look different starting in 2026.

Why is Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands & Brews Not Happening?

It was in February of 2026, that I noticed that Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands & Brews was posting about food trucks other than BBQ ones. Then, I noticed that they'd even changed the name to: Loveland Loves Rhythm & Brews Fest; the name change comes with a new logo, as well. I saw a reply that they'd made to someone about the "old" event:

BBQ trucks are hard to get We are rebranding the bbq to more of a family fun music event 7 bands, only local food vendors, and local crafts ppl to keep our focus on helping the local Loveland community.

This does sound not only different, but better. Opening up the food vendors to be not just about BBQ food trucks and having more local music is a good call. Not everybody "loves" BBQ, and more slots for bands means more opportunity for exposure for bands.

Will the Festival Still be Happening at the Same Spot?

The event, which benefits Loveland Sertoma and other local charities, has been happening at Fairgrounds Park for many years; there's been no announcement of a venue change for the July 17-18 2026 festival. With the changes to 4th Street, however, it wouldn't be surprising to see the event move back to 4th in the future.

MORE LOVELAND - Sad Pics of the Last Day for the Downtown Safeway

When I paid my last visit to the Downtown Safeway on its last day, October 25, 2025, it was with trepidation: I didn't want to see how sad it probably looked, but like watching a wreck on the highway, it was hard to not see the how it looked.
