One of the most heart wrenching things to witness, is an animal being treated badly by humans. Although things like this will probably, and sadly, never end, there are good people in the world who step in when they can, and area able to make all the difference for these animals' lives.

This past week in Loveland, a local woman saw a homeless couple dragging around a badly matted dog through town. Based on what she saw, the woman actually approached the couple and offered the purchase the pup from them, to which they agreed. The woman then called several grooming salons in the area, and ended up taking the pooch to Dogs' Own Grooming Salon, right in Loveland, after they happily agreed to see him.

When they arrived, the canine was extremely scared and even the salon staff said they hadn't seen anything this bad in a very long time. Jennie, the owner of the salon, volunteered to groom the canine, which took almost an hour to shave off his pelted fur – and she did so, graciously free of charge for the woman who brought him in.

After his astonishing makeover, the previously timid dog, which staff believes to be a Lhasa Apso mix, even started coming out of its shell. Together, they lovingly named him Chance, which is quite fitting since he's now going to have a whole new chance at life.
