Local Hero Fundraiser and Fitness Competition Coming to Loveland in June
Support your local hero at the Guardian Games and Expo happening Saturday, June 11, at the Loveland Sports Park.
Health4Heroes is hosting this high-energy fundraiser for local veterans and first responders in need of care. Co-founder and CEO of Health4Heroes, Nick Dunagan, told Townsquare NoCo's "Tuned In to NoCo" the fundraiser will include vendors, food trucks, games, and a challenging fitness competition.
"It's a military- and first-responder-inspired fitness competition with five separate fitness events spread throughout the day. ... We hope that it's something that athletes look forward to every year to come and compete in. So, if you're an athlete in the area we would definitely welcome you to come out and show your support."
Dunagan says the fundraiser was created to promote community engagement and to educate our local heroes and their families on how to get help and support.
"If you are a veteran or first responder, or you're a family member of one of those, and you see your veteran and first responder needing support, we're the open door. ... We have programs that we truly feel can benefit the veteran or first responder in your life. ... We want you there; we want you involved. This is an opportunity to show your support."
