You'd be hard-pressed to find someone in Loveland who hasn't dined or had a beverage at one of the two restaurants that Sherry Mehan owned and operated.

Mehan owned McGraff's, along with The 4th Street Chophouse, in Downtown Loveland.

According to the McGraff's Facebook page, Sherry has passed away while dealing with brain cancer. The post states that Sherry had beat breast cancer in 2011, but the disease returned this past August.

As someone who grew up and still lives in Loveland, I have been to McGraff's many, many times. I'm sure many have — after softball games, after golf, for birthdays, etc. I definitely remember going there after racquetball with a couple of buddies when we were playing every week at the Chilson Center.

The Chophouse, meanwhile, is a place that you go to on big occasions, like 50th birthday parties, Valentine's, anniversaries, etc.

 

I, personally, feel for her family and her staff.
