After a disappointing injury in 2013 caused Lindsey Vonn to miss the Sochi Olympics, some thought her career may be over. Quite the contrary, as she shared with the Denver Post.

...that's not what's going to happen. I'm very fired up for this season and I'm looking forward to being back in the starting gate and being aggressive again.

Aggressive is her game. Her killer instinct and drive are what has made her the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in downhill skiing, and helped to earn her 6 straight world cup titles.

She could be on the race course when the World Cup heads to Beaver Creek in 2015, which is basically her hometown. Beaver Creek rises out of the town of Avon, just west of Vail where Vonn lives and trains.
