Larimer County Searching for Missing Fort Collins Teens
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating two missing juveniles.
Just after midnight on Tuesday, March 17, officers responded to a report of two juveniles who were said to be missing from their residences north of Fort Collins.
According to police, Kaiden Mertz, age 14, and Akaysha Cox, age 13, were last seen at each of their respective residences but are now believed to be together somewhere.
Mertz is believed to be wearing a black t-shirt under a dark navy-blue jacket with red tennis shoes and may have a grey backpack with him. He is 5-foot-10, 160 pounds and has medium brown hair and green eyes.
Cox may be wearing black sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt and grey high-top athletic shoes. She is described as 5-foot-7, 130 pounds, and has dark brown hair and blue eyes.
At this time, foul play is not suspected and there is no criminal investigation taking place.
