One woman was arrested after warrants were served in Loveland and in Evans on June 23, 2021, with seven agencies working on the investigation.

The Northern Colorado Drug Task Force's investigation lead to 10 pounds of methamphetamine (suspected) and 3,400 fentanyl (suspected) pills being seized, between the two locations.

The first search warrant was served in the 100 block of West 43rd Street (near Highway 287) in Loveland, the second location was the 2500 block of Crescent Cover Drive in Evans.

Arrested in the investigation, was  57-year-old Diana Margaret Viola of Evans, on the following charges:

  • Unlawful Distribution of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine (DF1)
  • Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl, more than 112 Grams (DF1)
  • Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, more than 112 Grams (DF1)
  • Special Offender (DF1)

Viola was arrested by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Enforcement Unit in Wellington. She is being held on a $750,000 bond.

The amount of methamphetamine seized is equal to upwards of $50,000; the fentanyl pills have a 'street value' of more than $40,000.

The investigation, that took place in June of 2021, involved seven agencies working together:

  • Larimer County Sheriff’s Office
  • Fort Collins Police Services
  • Loveland Police Department
  • Colorado Adult Parole
  • Windsor Police Department
  • Eighth Judicial District Attorney’s Office
  • Colorado National Guard Counterdrug

It would be foolish to think that all the drugs seized by authorities were intended to be sold outside of Northern Colorado. Methamphetamine and fentanyl are both a large and dangerous problem for our area.

Kudos to all involved in the arrest, and the seizure of these drugs.

The charges are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
