Kelly Clarkson Wins 2013 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album
An ecstatic Kelly Clarkson won the 2013 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Stronger' and could not contain her enthusiasm after hearing her name called.
On her way to the stage, Kelly stopped and said something to Katy Perry and John Mayer that made them laugh, then ran over to hug Miranda Lambert and found her dress somehow entangled with the country star's outfit.
"I'm so sorry ... I got stuck to Miranda Lambert. There's a story and a song for later. After alcohol," Clarkson joked when she reached the stage. She quickly added, "I'm just kidding, children! I get nervous speaking in front of people."
She then gave a shout-out to a fellow performer who had taken the stage earlier. "Miguel, I don't know who the Hell you are, but we need to sing together. Good God, that was the sexiest d--- thing I've seen!" She thanked her fiance, her fans and her label before wrapping up with, "I did not think I was gonna win. Thank you!"
Clarkson emerged from a strong group of nominees that included fun., Florence + the Machine, Pink and Maroon 5. The win was the third of Kelly's career, following two she won in 2006 for her 'Breakaway' album.
