When you think of Colorado's large, often dangerous wildlife, animals like bears, mountain lions, and wolves are some of the first to come to mind.

However, in the past few days alone, numerous moose were spotted across different parts of the Centennial State.

Moose Spotted Eating Weeds in Colorado Stream

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, a YouTuber by the name of Dennis Mellon posted a video of a moose eating some kind of vegetation in a stream.

It's unclear as to where the footage was taken, but it should be noted that the videographer stayed a safe distance away from the wild animal.

Moose Spotted in the Colorado Woods

Another YouTuber posted a video on what looks like a hiking trail where they spotted a moose hanging around by itself in the trees.

This video was published on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Colorado's Frank the Tank Hops a Fence

The Facebook page known as Colorado Adventures posted a video on July 23 that was taken in Rocky Mountain National Park, featuring a moose that is famous around the park, affectionately known as Frank the Tank.

While Frank looks to be a little too close to the spectators for comfort, the page warns that it's unsafe to get more than 25 yards away from any moose.

This video proceeded to go viral, racking up over 200,000 views in just a couple of days.

Colorado's Frank the Tank Makes a Second Appearance

Just a day later, the same Colorado Adventures Facebook page posted another video featuring Rocky Mountain National Park's Frank the Tank leisurely enjoying some grass.

While moose are herbivores, they can be extremely aggressive, and it's recommended that humans should never approach the large animals.
