Loveland, Colorado Preps For First Popular ‘Sober’ Bar
They are becoming pretty popular around Colorado: places to go and hangout with friends without alcohol. Call them "sober" bars, or "mocktail" bars, but call Loveland a city to jump on board.
This will be located in a building that once was home to one of Loveland's popular small restaurants; will it become a "hot spot" for "The Sweetheart City," or will it be too "dry" to maintain a customer base?
It will definitely add to the options for "places to go," in Loveland.
Sober Bar Coming to Downtown Loveland
It will be exciting to see how this place comes together, as The Reporter-Herald reports that an former restaurant on the west side of Downtown Loveland will become "Love Shack," will be going in where The Hobnob once operated.
The Hobnob, which first opened as a tea room in 1978, and then became a little American dish restaurant, closed in 2019. It's a great location at the northwest corner of Garfield Avenue and Fourth Street.
According to the Reporter-Herald, Love Shack will cater to adults looking for the experience of hanging out a bar minus the option of having booze. Music, dancing, trivia nights, live comedy, maybe a game of pool, all while staying completely sober.

The idea is almost the antithesis of a speakeasy bar; where a person is looking to grab a drink in a hidden-away spot, whereas Love Shack will be a "happening joint" where you won't find an alcoholic beverage, at all.
Maybe one of Love Shack's house mocktails will be something like, "Rusted Tin Roof?"
