With fall in Colorado comes the hustling to enjoy all things "pumpkin;" whether it be with pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, or even pumpkin beers. Coloradans can take pride that we have three that rate among the very best.

Here are a few beers that you need to keep a few of in the fridge for the season; for when friends and family come over. You can enjoy some conversation, some company, and some Colorado made quality pumpkin beers.

One of these three beers ranks among the very best according to the World Beer Cup (very elite,) while the other two rank in the top 28 on a list that a team of "leisure enthusiasts" put together for us all.

One Colorado Pumpkin Beer Wins at World Beer Cup 2024

In April of 2024, the Brewers Association, dedicated to small and independent breweries, held their annual World Beer Cup. Nineteen Colorado breweries were recognized, including one for its pumpkin beer.

River North's 'Pumpkin Spice Bucket of Bolts' took Bronze in the pumpkin beer category. It's the seasonal version of their barleywine, 'Bucket of Bolts' beer; it comes in at 11.4% ABV, so it's as strong as it is tasty.

Longmont and Fort Collins, Colorado, Pumpkin Beers Among Best

Inside Hook, whose experts give hands-on reviews to help you decide on how to spend your money, took a look at 28 pumpkin beers; two of them were from Northern Colorado.

Left Hand Brewing's 'Pumpkin Spice Latte Nitro' came in at #25 out of 28, but New Belgium's Voodoo Atomic Pumpkin nearly won it all, coming in at #4 on their list. Of course, New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger is their top-seller, so a pumpkin version must be on point.
