In a world full of craziness these days, it's fun to escape the norm and be someone else, even if just for a night. Each year on Halloween, or in the weeks leading up to it, people use it as an escape, to let your imagination loose, and literally be whoever you want to be. From fun pop culture costumes like Barbie, or a Disney character, to more traditional Halloween characters like ghosts, monsters, and the ever-popular vampires, the options are truly endless. Ever wonder if any of these fictitious creatures, like vampires, are real? And if they were, would they consider our great state of Colorado a good place to live, and "fang out?"

In an effort to encourage local blood donations, our ghoulish friends at Lawn Love recently ranked the best and worst cities for "Vampires." They looked at "cities with plenty of warm bodies, blood centers, and vampire-friendly dwellings (aka casket suppliers and homes with basements)," and more. Coming in at number 31 on Lawn Love's list was Denver Colorado. While Denver was our only city inside of their Top 100, Colorado Springs ranked at number 128, Greeley ranked at number 163, Centennial ranked at number 170, Lakewood at number 182, Arvada at 194, and Westminster wrapped up our appearances in the Top 200 at number 195.  Number 1 on their list? New York City... Lot's of blooders there, it seems. See the full list and how they narrowed down these choices, HERE.
