Last weekend, we hosted some family from Kansas at our home. Being from the tiny town of Palco means that when they venture to Colorado, they want to be entertained and take in as much as possible.

Here are a few places we like to take out-of-towners when they come to visit.

Old Town Fort Collins

Seeing as how this is our stomping ground, let's start there. We love Old Town because there is always something happening, from live music to interesting small businesses. You can find something for everyone in Old Town Fort Collins.

We always take the family to eat at Beau Jos Pizza because everybody should try a mountain pie at least once in their lives.

There are also a ton of ice cream options like Walrus on Mountain or Kilwins on College Ave, and my family loves to grab ice cream after dinner and then walk around. A visit to Old Town Fort Collins is an event in and of itself.

Downtown Windsor

Windsor is such a great little town. Windsor Lake and the surrounding trail are the perfect places to take a walk and enjoy Colorado mountain views. There are also lots of coffee shops like Dutch Brothers and the Windsor Lake Cafe and Marketplace, so you can grab a drink before venturing out.

Red Rocks Ampitheater in Morrison

If you can plan a trip around a concert at Red Rocks, you won't regret it. It's really something every out-of-towner should experience at least once in their life

Sure, the drinks and food at the venue are amazing, but it's the experience that your out-of-town guests will never forget.

Coloradans First Red Rocks Show

There’s nothing quite like your first time at Red Rocks. After finally seeing a show there myself, I had to ask other Coloradans: what was the concert that started it all for you?

100 Artists That Have Shockingly Never Performed at Red Rocks In Morrison

One of the most iconic venues in the entire world is right here in our very own backyard. Some of the biggest names have performed at Red Rocks. However, it's still not a feat that every single artist can accomplish.
