These Northern Colorado Pizza Joints Are Totally Worth The Stretchy Pants

If I were on death row, my last meal would definitely include pizza. It's honestly my favorite food. And small hometown pizzerias are the best.

So if you live in Northern Colorado and you get a hankering for real Italian cuisine, there are some killer options to choose from.

Let's break it down by city.

Fort Collins

Sometimes it's more about location and vibe than the actual pizza. If you are old enough to remember the 80's, then you know it was a magical time. So if you want some delicious pizza with crazy toppings like Milky Way, Green Chili, and Hot Cheetos, you'll love Totally 80's Pizza in Fort Collins off of College Avenue. Between the interesting pizza options and 80's memorabilia, you have to check it out.

Wellington

When I was 16, I worked at the best little pizzeria in Wellington, which is technically the only pizzeria in Wellington. It's called Pizza Palace, and it's been going strong for decades, loved by the entire community. And with menu items like strombolis, calzones, and sub sandwiches, you'll find something for everyone at Pizza Palace.

Windsor

While Windsor has some seriously good pizza options, there's one that definitely stands out. Shopey's Pizza off of Windsor's main strip is the perfect spot for pizza, beer, and patio time. Three of my favorite things. I love the location and the full bar. Be sure to check out their fresh chorizo.

Loveland 

A newer pizza option in Loveland is one you have to check out. It's called Slice House by Tony Gemignani, long name and quality up the wazoo. I feel like pizza tastes better when you cut it into square pieces. Don't get me wrong, I like pizza in every form, but variety is the spice of life, and Slice House by Tony Gemignani is one of Loveland's new must-try pizza spots.
