Living in Colorado has many perks. The mountains, the crisp air, and TABOR refunds. What exactly is a TABOR refund? Well, it is based on Colorado's Taxpayer's Bill of Rights. The amendment was passed in 1992 and limits the amount the state government can spend or retain.

Depending on your yearly income, these checks can help Coloradans with their bills. According to the Colorado Department of Revenue, qualifying residents can get a refund of $800 for individuals and $1,600 for individuals filing jointly.

When Will Colorado's Next TABOR Checks Come?

Good question. According to KDVR, the next round of Colorado TABOR refund checks will be coming in the spring of 2024 and if you do your taxes early, you could probably see your TABOR refund even faster. After filing your taxes for 2023, you can check the status of your Colorado TABOR refund at Colorado.gov.
